GBW take on Korea in Olympic Warm Up Matches…

Its the business end of the GB Women’s Olympic journey and in preparation for the Olympic Games in 18 days time they will face Olympic qualifiers and World No. 13… Korea!

Next week will see the GB Women pack their bags and leave their training base in Sheffield to travel to Loughborough, the location for the 2012 Team GB Holding Camp.  It is here that the team will make final preparations for the London 2012 Olympic Games before heading South to the London 2012 Olympic Village.

GBW to take on Korea

While in Loughborough, the GB Women will make the journey back to their Sheffield base (replicating the Olympic schedule and travel) to play crucial warm up matches against Republic of Korea.  Korea have also qualified for London 2012 in the other pool and will be in Sheffield for their Olympic Preparations.  These matches will be a huge challenge, but a welcome one as the ultimate test for the GBW draws closer.  The games are on:

  • Wednesday 18th July 2012 - EIS Sheffield - GB v Korea (9pm FBS)
  • Friday 20th July 2012 - EIS Sheffield - GB v Korea (8pm FBS)
