GB Women in Peru!

The GB Women have today arrived in Peru for a series of international matches against the Peru National Team, world ranked 15 they a strong volleyball nation and were one of the dominant forces in women’s volleyball in the 1980s, culminating in the silver medal won at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Exciting crowds are expected across the matches:

Friday 20th vs Peru (8pm)
Saturday 21st vs Peru (5pm)
Monday 23rd vs Peru (7pm)
Tuesday 24th vs Peru (pm)

After a 4 match series across various cities, GB will then compete in the prestigious Latina Cup tournament against Thailand (WR14), Chile (WR60) and hosts Peru.

Friday 22nd vs Thailand
Saturday 28th vs Chile
Sunday 29th vs Peru
Monday 30th - positional play off matches

It will be a tough 15 days against challenging opposition, replicating the Olympic Games schedule as much as possible, which is exactly what the team want to kick start this important Summer programme. Keep up to date with regular updates her and on facebook and twitter.
